The institute has repeated its feat of 100% summer placements for the largest batch across IIMs with 575 participants. The summer placement process for the two-year flagship post-graduate programme (PGP) along with the five-year integrated programme in management (IPM) for the class of 2022 was conducted in a virtual mode, IIM Indore said.
The first-time recruiters included GlaxoSmithKline Consumer Healthcare, Cloudtail, Lubrizol, Marsh, and Rohatyn Group. Amazon, American Express, ArcelorMittal Nippon Steel, Asian Paints, Axis Bank, Bain & Co, Bajaj Auto, Barclays, Bridgestone, Boston Consulting Group, Capgemini, Cognizant, Cipla, Credit Suisse, D E Shaw, and Deloitte India were among the other firms that took part in the internship drive.
“In these testing times of Covid-19, we are delighted that the country’s top companies and the MNCs have reposed their faith in our students,” said Himanshu Rai, director of IIM Indore. “In the years to come, we will continue to strengthen our engagement with the industry and ensure that we continue to create socially conscious responsible leaders who help make this world a better place.”
Recruiters in the consulting domain, including Boston Consulting Group, Bain & Co, Deloitte India, Deloitte USI, Everest Group, GEP Consulting, McKinsey & Co, PricewaterhouseCoopers SDC, and Optum, recruited 24% of the batch. Sales and marketing was one of the most sought-after domains, constituting 25% of the total offers. Recruiters in this domain included Asian Paints, Dabur, Hindustan Unilever, ITC, L’Oréal, Marico, Piramal, Puma.
