The world needs new innovative ideas for a better tomorrow and in Dubai, entrepreneurial dreams indeed come true. Intelak Hub, which is Dubai’s only start-up platform dedicated to the travel, tourism and aviation sector is highly sought after by start-ups and entrepreneurs.
Intelak Hub provides holistic approach to support start-ups at all stages of growth. It gives early and late-stage start-ups access to programmes, mentorship from leading organisations and a community of like-minded individuals to launch, grow and scale their start-up. The team at Intelak Hub enables start-ups to become a part of an ecosystem that is dedicated to bringing the latest solutions in the aviation, travel and tourism sector.
This time, a record number of applications were received for the Accelerator Program, with an increase of 30 per cent more applications received over 2019. This high number itself was very encouraging. Eventually, the announcement of 10 finalist companies who made it to the finale was made recently. These startups will now get a truly rare opportunity to participate in Intelak Hub platform’s unique Accelerator Programme. This time, there are start-ups from five European countries, Israel, Singapore and the USA, with an emphasis on diversity, 30 per cent of the start-ups are female-led and 20 per cent social impact-led.
Aimed at nurturing innovation and supporting entrepreneurial growth, Intelak Hub’s programmes include; Intelak Idea Lab, a three-week programme nurturing young Emirati talent; Intelak Incubator, a 12-week programme for early-stage start-ups and Intelak Accelerator, an eight-week programme for late-stage start-ups.
Over a span of eight weeks, the finalists will be attending workshop sessions and scaling their businesses under the close guidance of the Intelak Hub principal partners; Emirates Group, Dubai’s Department of Tourism and Commerce Marketing (Dubai Tourism), Accenture and Microsoft who will provide mentoring on go-to-market strategy planning and utilisation of partner ecosystems to test and implement their solutions.
The lucky start-ups that have been selected include Secret City Trails, [email protected], Handiscover, Right-Hear, FetchyFox, TAIGER, Bridgify, Enroute, DeepNeed and AllRead Software.
Capping off the programme, the finalists will also be provided exhibition space and exclusive pitching and investor opportunities for their start-up at GITEX Future Stars – a premier technology event in the region.
